A parade of Lol Morgan’s close season signings pictured in July 1965, before a promotion-winning season. Pictured from left to right are Bill Hopper, Eric Johnstone, Tony Moor, Joe Jacques and Brian Keeble. The team was further shaped by the departure of Jim Lawton with Alan Sproates joining in part-exchange and the balance spent on Bobby Cummings from Newcastle United. A season when we later signed Don Ratcliffe and Barry Hutchinson.
