Meanwhile Fylde smashed Stalybridge Celtic 5-0 to extend their lead over ourselves to four points. The league’s top scorer Danny Rowe scored a hat-trick in the game to take his league tally to 23 for the season.
The league leaders arrive in fantastic form having only lost one game so far, also losing away to Tamworth. However, overall, they have won six of their eight games away from home.
AFC Fylde had been known as Kirkham & Wesham until 2008, but since then they have enjoyed great success. They have been in the National North for the last two seasons, on both occasions finishing in the playoffs, but both times failing to gain promotion. Last season they lost in the final to North Ferriby after extra time.
