Darlington manager Martin Gray is targeting a good run in the FA Buildbase Trophy when Quakers face Marine in the third qualifying round at Heritage Park on Sunday.

Since we won the competition back in 2011, we haven’t really had a good run, but MG wants to put that right against Marine from the EvoStik Premier Division.

Marine have already won twice away from home in the competition so far this season, and currently lie 18th in the EvoStik Premier Division.

Recent Marine results:

November 19th Mickleover (away) lost 1-2 Anoruo

November 15th St Neots (away, FA Trophy) won 4-2. Hughes, Threlfall, Monaghan, Mitchley

November 12th St Neots (home, FA Trophy) drew 1-1. Mitchley

November 8th Workington (away) lost 0-4

November 5th Ilkeston (home) drew 2-2 Mitchley, Sherlock

November 1st Ashton United (away) won 4-1. Sherlock 2, Hughes, Bellew.

We played Marine twice in the NPL last season, losing 1-0 to them at Heritage Park in October, then a Kevin Burgess goal gave us the points in the return in January.
