Darlington Football Club would like to announce that striker Amar Purewal has been transferred to Northern League club Shildon.

Amar was one of manager Martin Gray's first signings back in the summer of 2012, and he has given the club outstanding service ever since.

He has scored 59 goals in 108 appearances, and helped us win three promotions in four seasons.

Here's what MG said about Amar's departure:

We would like to wish Amar every success in the future, and he will always be welcome at Darlington matches.
