Darlington striker Amar Purewal had another week to remember, as he scored a hat-trick for Panjab against Somaliland in the CONIFA World Cup.
Panjab ran out 5-0 winners with Amar’s twin brother and former Quaker Arjun also scoring.
The win saw Panjab finish top of their group and Amar will be hoping to replicate his form in the later stages of the tournament. Tonight Panjab face Western Armenia in the quarter-finals.
The competition features twelve teams that are not affiliated with FIFA and is being held in Abkhazia.
Having spent over a year on the sidelines he returned to the Darlington side at the end of the 2015/16 season, as he the helped the club seal their third promotion in four years.
