Bishop's Stortford v Darlington preview

The start of a new era

It’s the start of a new era when Quakers go to Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday.

Alun Armstrong and Darren Holloway parted company with the club after the goalless draw with Boston on Tuesday night, a result that left Quakers bottom of the table, although there are just two points covering the clubs from 18th to 24th.

Senior players Will Hatfield, Tom Platt and Jake Lawlor will be in charge of the team, Lawlor will be in the technical area as he has a one match ban for his dismissal at Buxton. The FA have confirmed that he can be in the technical area.

This is the first ever game between these two clubs. Bishop’s Stortford played in this division ten years ago and left it before we arrived. However, they were moved back into it this season because of their geographical location.
