Bishop Aces came into the game as one of the favourites to do well this season and were going to be tough opposition to Darlington who are having a fresh start this season after numerous changes!!

The game started at a very fast tempo and strong tackling by both sides but Quakers hit the net first with a great ball by Diamond to Chrissy Waters who with his left foot drilled it past the keeper into the far corner.

Bishop then made it 1-1 from a corner which wasn't dealt with by Darlington. Then in a ten minute spell Darlington hit three more superb goals and outplayed their opponents with good through balls and pace and finishing. The second came as Diamond beat his man and scored into the top scorer for 2-0.

The third was anther great left foot shot by Chrissy Walters and then he raced past a defender and with his right foot shot low to give Darlo a 4-1 half time lead and complete his hat trick.

The second half was end to end and became a real physical battle and Darlington could have scored more goals but the Bishop keeper was outstanding at times but also the powerful striker for bishop scored twice to bring the score back to 4-3.

From then Darlington battled and worked hard and saw the game out for a great 4-3 win. All of the side from keeper, defence, midfield and strikers worked very hard and were fully committed all game. Mom Chrissy Walters
