Club appoints Supporter Liaison Officers

Part of our action plan

Darlington FC have today appointed two long serving fans, Andrew Scullion and Rob Duncan, as Supporter Liaison Officers.

The FA instructed us to appoint a Supporter Liaison Officer as part of the action plan following the Scarborough incident and on reflection, the interview panel decided that both should be appointed, taking into account that we are a volunteer club, the scope of the role, and that both are well known to supporters.

The SLOs will act as conduits between the club and the fans, particularly with regards to information flow on club decisions and activities, and also to contribute to a positive supporter culture and work proactively.

We believe that Scully and Rob will both be ideal for the roles considering that they have been Darlington fans for many years, and also that everyone will give them as much help and support going forward.

They will both begin their roles with immediate effect.
