Darlo legend Craig Liddle, who gave great service as a player for many years and then as a manager in the 2012 administration crisis, returns to Darlington tonight with the Boro Under 23 side.
His Boro team is currently top of Premier Reserve League 2, and playing some great football. One of the players in the squad is Craig’s 19 year old son, Ben.
Some of the other youngsters in the Under 23 squad have already played for the first team, with Lewis Wing and Marcus Tavernier figuring this season, while others players have previously appeared in Europe for Boro’s youngsters and have come from other clubs.
Lidds says that he’s really looking forward to coming back to Darlo, and catching up with some old faces – and he’ll pose for selfies, so dig out those old Darlo shirts!
And there could be a surprise or two in store as well......
Admission to tonight’s game, which kicks off at 7.45pm, is £5 for adults and concessions, with under 11s going free.
