Wallsend 2 Darlington Under 18s 4

Dale Milburn scored a hat trick against Wallsend to put Quakers Under 18s in the right frame of mind for their big FA youth Cup tie this Wednesday.

The game started with the visitors applying constant pressure on the home goalkeeper. The breakthrough came when Joey Smith and Kieron Parnaby combined down the wing then crossed for Callum Davidson to finish.

The next goal came a minute before half time when Dale Milburn coolly slotted past the keeper.

The opposition came out second half all guns blazing and the centre midfielder scored their first with an excellent left foot shot into the top corner.

Dale Milburn scored again when he lifted the ball over the defender’s head to find himself one on one and smashed the ball home.

Wallsend scored straight after that goal to put them back into the game 3-2 but it was Milburn again who completed his hat trick to seal the game.

Quakers’ next game is against Clitheroe in the second qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup this Wednesday at Norton’s ground, kick off 7.30
