Darlington FC and YouFibre announce sponsorship deal

Broadband company sponsors the Quakers

YouFibre, which is bringing ultrafast internet to Darlington, has sponsored Darlington Football Club as it pushes for promotion to end the 2022/23 season on a high.

YouFibre has already made its mark on the town this year as it connects residents to ultrafast broadband, offering speeds that are up to 17x faster than the UK average.1 To put this into perspective, customers will be able to stream over 20 sports matches all at the same time.

The partnership solidifies YouFibre’s commitment to the local area, as it supports Darlington FC in its ambition to achieve promotion from the Vanarama National League North.

Commenting on the sponsorship, David Johnston, Chief Operating Officer at Darlington FC, said: “We are delighted to form a strong partnership with YouFibre in the Darlington area. We share the same ambition, which is to continually improve and grow as a business. We’re looking forward to working with them over the rest of this season and beyond and welcome their support.”

Ryan Battle, Managing Director at YouFibre, added: “We are delighted to be sponsoring Darlington FC at what promises to be an incredibly exciting time for the club and its fans. The area already holds a special place in our hearts and, with its 140-year history and fan-ownership, we couldn’t think of a better way to expand our support of the wonderful Darlington community than via its beloved football club.”

YouFibre is delivering up to 1,000 Mbps broadband to Darlington as part of its commitment to providing homes and businesses in the UK with access to fast, reliable and affordable internet and friendly UK-based customer services. To help local families during the ongoing cost of living crisis, the broadband provider is offering all customers broadband from just £1 a month for the first three months as part of its new standard tariff. 2 Plus, its Price Promise means that customers will never experience unexpected mid-contract price rises, providing peace of mind in financially uncertain times.
