Darlington FC Relaunches Buddy Scheme

The club is very much aware that, as the new national lockdown begins on Thursday, many of our fans will not be able to see some family members or close friends, in the way they have been able to over the last three months or so.

As a Club, we want to reach out again to our local community and ensure that none of our supporters feel lonely and depressed, and so we want to cheer them up by relaunching our Buddy Scheme!

We are grateful to Joanne Cameron for taking a lead role in the relaunch of the DFC Buddy Scheme, which reached hundreds of people during the first lockdown. Joanne also volunteers with Darlington Support, one of our valued partners. We will be contacting our fans most in need at this time to begin with and have a chat with them over the phone!

We already have contact details from the initial launch of the Buddy Scheme, but if you want a call from DFC for a chat, or know somebody who needs cheering up, then drop Joanne a line on joanne.cameron@darlingtonfc.org.

You can also contact our club chaplain, John Barker, on revjohnwbarker@gmail.com
