Darlington 1 Guisborough Town 1
Following the postponement of the Quakers' home fixture with Matlock Town, the side took part in a friendly with Northern League side Guisborough on the 3G pitch at Longfield Road.
Stephen Thompson gave Darlington the lead after an hour, with the visitors levelling with 15 minutes to go.
MG selected a strong line-up with Graeme Armstrong and David Dowson starting up front.
Leon Scott had the Quakers first real chance, in an even first half, but he fired over from the edge of the box.
Adam Mitchell then struck the inside of the post with a free-kick, but the ball bounced back into play.
Half-time saw the introduction of Tom Portas, Anthony Callaghan and Adam Nowakowski.
Mitchell was denied by a great save from the Guisborough goalkeeper early in the second half.
However, Darlington did take the lead thanks to a curling strike from Thompson which gave the goalkeeper no chance.
Minutes later Armstrong nearly doubled the lead, after being played in by Thompson, but once again the goalkeeper denied the Quakers.
Guisborough levelled with quarter of an hour to go after a cross to the back post was headed past Peter Jameson by Jonny Helm.
Darlington had two chances late on to win the match, but Dowson fired wide and Phil Turnbull forced the goalkeeper into a flying save.
