Darlington Under 9s had a great game at home to Marton
A noticeable change in formation brought Charlie Cole and Max Atkinson into left and right back positions, with Issac Marr between them in the centre back position.
Zach Judson made his 25th appearance for the club in competitive competition, starting in goal for Darlington.
Ben Snowden was missing through illness so he was replaced by Jack Shaw.
Oliver English and Harry Gunnall started for the first time this season together, putting two strikers on the pitch.
The game begun a fairly even encounter with both sides having chances.
The lads provided some good finishes to attacks, as did Marton.
The second half continued as the first half had finished, numerous feisty tackles, however both teams conducted themselves brilliantly.
Once the game had settled Harry Gunnall sealed the game with two identical goals. Two balls over the top from Jack Shaw landed at the feet of the striker, who finished perfectly each time.
The last 10 minutes saw Jack Thompson enter the pitch, replacing Max Atkinson who came off to applause from both sides of the pitch.
Another very strong game for the under 9s, again showing what they can offer.
Max Atkinson took this weeks man of the match award. A very strong game for Max, playing out of position, but a great shift from him.
Onto next week away to Bishop Auckland.
