Darlington Women sign defender Lou Brown

Arrives from a higher level

Darlington Women are delighted to announce the signing of Lou Brown after her recent departure from Boro Rangers.

Lou played most of her football at youth level for Kader Girls FC. She has played for Middlesbrough Ladies in the past and also played for East Durham and Houghall National Women’s Academy team during her college years.

Manager Shaun Mackenzie said; "I am delighted to welcome Lou into the team and very happy with her performance yesterday in the second half as a ‘trialist’. Lou is a solid centre back, who can also play defensive midfield and is another great addition to the squad. She brings with her a wealth of experience and reads the game really well. Lou will also bring leadership to the team, having been captain of her previous club for a number of years. We hope that she can help and pass on her knowledge to the younger girls in the squad. Welcome to Darlo, Lou."
