Darlington Women sign Nicole Graham

Makes transition from girls' to women's football

Darlington Women’s team are delighted to officially announce the signing of Nicole Graham, who steps up into women’s football, from our U18 Youth side.

Nicole has been at Darlington since U13s and was part of the first ever Darlington F.C Girls team. You may have noticed her name on recent team sheets after impressing during pre season, scoring 5 goals in 4 appearances.

Manager Shaun Mackenzie said, “It is a pleasure to announce the signing of Nicole after training with us most of pre season.

“We have always had high hopes for Nicole and she was on our radar last season but didn’t turn 16 till after the March deadline. Nicole has an excellent work rate and is technically a very good footballer. She has shown in pre season she can score goals, scoring a hat-trick on her debut!

“She has scored five in four appearances and is a very versatile player who can play in multiple positions. Nicole has impressed everyone pre season and she will be another asset to the squad. She has fitted in well with the girls and we are looking forward to having her as an option next season. That’s another product of the Youth Girls section who has made the step up and its fantastic to see the pathway and the progression of the girls over recent years.”
