Darlington left back David Ferguson has been called up for England C duty.
David, who signed for Quakers from Shildon in January, has been included in the England C squad for two games at the end of this month, against the Punjab and Jersey.
David, who started his career at Darlington before going to Sunderland in 2012, was part of the Blackpool team in the Football League for two seasons, and was surprisingly released at the end of last season so he joined Shildon in the Northern League.
Since he joined Quakers in January, he has proved to be a very good player, and scored a goal of the season contender against FC United last month.
“I’m very excited about it,” he said.“It’s a great honour to be called up to play for my country.Fingers crossed, I’ll be able to play some part in the games.”
The Punjab squad is expected to include former Darlo players Amar and Arjun Purewal, so Quakers will have an interest in both teams for that game, which is to be played at Kidderminster.
