Darlington lined up against Stockton Town Blue. Before the game both teams stood and observed a minute's silence impeccably.

Darlington were missing coach Adam Willsher, who was covered by Mark Sasha Sanders for the day.

The game kicked off and it was Stockton that started the better of the two teams attacking well and creating a number of chances.

Darlington struggled to find a foothold in the game and midway through the first half found themselves behind. Darlington were rattled but held firm to make it through to the break.

A strong half time team talk from the Darlington Coach saw the team come out fighting.

The second half started at a furious pace. The Darlington players got the ball down and started passing the ball around well and started creating a number of chances.

Charlie Cole played a great cross over to Max Atkinson who played a perfectly weighted ball into Oliver English who turned and shot.

Darlington pushed and created a number of chances, Charlie Cole striking from distance only to see his shot go narrowly wide. Zach Judson made a great save from a fierce Stockton shot, the ball broke free and it was a Stockton player that got to it first. He shot passed Zach but Jack Thompson threw his body bravely in front of the shot to keep it out.

Another man of the match performance by Ben Snowden.

Solid again at the back and creating a number of Darlington attacks.

Thanks to Richy Cole for the match report.

Onto next week, away to local rivals Darlington All Stars.
