Sends his best wishes
Defender Liam Hughes is today saying a big “Thank You” to Darlington fans.
Liam, who is away from the club for a month while he sorts out his personal issues, has been following the team’s performances through various means, and took time out from his rehab to thank everyone at Blackwell Meadows.
“I would like to thank everyone very much for all their kind thoughts and support,” he said.
“It was very touching when I heard people chanting my name in the Spennymoor game and raising awareness about mental health issues. It’s nice to know that I have that kind of support.
“I listened to bits and pieces of the games on Darlo Fans Radio, and I’ve looked at the highlights. It seems to me that performances haven’t been too far away, and we could easily have won the Spennymoor game if it wasn’t for those two free kicks.”
Liam’s rehab is going well, and says; “I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone again at the Blyth game.”
