The FA have overturned the red card of Dominic Collins at Gainsborough last Saturday.

The centre half was dismissed for a tackle just before half time, with the referee stating that he sent him off for “serious foul play” which meant a three match ban, starting with the Harrogate away game.

However, the club disputed the referee’s version of events in his report, and appealed using video evidence to the FA.

After a quick review of the video at lunchtime on Friday, the FA agreed with Quakers, and rescinded the red card, clearing Dom to continue playing.

Thanks must go to secretary Rob Jones and video man Kevin Luff for their diligence in putting Quakers’ case together.
