Warrington Town made national headlines on Friday night, as they knocked League Two Exeter City out of the FA Cup live on BBC Two. Defender Craig Robinson scored the only goal of the game inside the first ten minutes. They were rewarded with a trip to Conference side Gateshead in the second round, a game which both sides will fancy.

Salford City’s recent struggles continued, as they lost their second league game in a row. On Saturday they lost 2-1 away to mid-table Clitheroe. Goals from Jason Hart and David Lynch gave Clitheroe a 2-0 lead. Ashley Dunn scored late for Salford, however they were unable to get the equaliser. Defeat sees them stay third, but they are now six points behind leaders Darlington with two games in hand.

Droylsden stay second, but moved three points ahead of third placed Salford after they won at home to Lancaster City. Ben Hampson and Dale Wright both scored in the first 20 minutes for The Bloods who won the game 2-0.

Spennymoor Town suffered a huge defeat at home to Bamber Bridge, 6-1. Alistair Waddecar scored a hat-trick as Bamber cruised to victory, with Glenn Steel also scoring twice and Paul Mckenna scoring the sixth. Andrew Stephenson scored a late consolation for Spennymoor.

Northwich Victoria are still fourth after coming from behind to win away to Scarborough Athletic. Gary Bradshaw gave the Seadogs the lead inside the first five minutes, however Northwich were able to turn the game around with two late goals. Godwin Abadaki and Bohan Dixon both scored in the final twenty minutes to win the game 2-1 for Northwich.

Farsley scored two late goals at home to Prescot Cables to pick up their first league victory in over a month. Jack Phillips gave Prescot the lead, before Spencer Harris and Lewis Nightingale scored in the final five minutes of the game to give Farsley the win, 2-1.

Kendal Town drew an incredible game at home to New Mills, 4-4. Kendal trailed 3-1 with 13 minutes to go, before goals from Jordan Connerton, Nicholas Rogan and Tom Watson appeared to have completed a remarkable comeback for the home side. Daniel Forde however managed an unlikely equaliser in the last minute of stoppage time to earn a point for New Mills.

Radcliffe Borough moved away from the relegation zone with victory over Harrogate RA. Harrogate led the game 3-1 with league top scorer Nathan Cartman once again on the score sheet. However, two from Chris Mason and one from Malachi Slaven turned the game round inside ten minutes to give Radcliffe the win, 4-3.

Burscough claimed a victory at home to Ossett Town. Mark Beeslet and William Jones gave the home side a 2-0 lead, before a Steven Jeff penalty kept Ossett in the game. Nicholas Ryan scored shortly before half time to seal the win for Burscough, 3-1.

The final league game of the week saw Ossett Albion move up to 18th in the table with victory over bottom of the table Padiham. Rob Bordman scored both goals for Albion with Brett Ormerod scoring the goal for the visitors, as Ossett Albion won the game 2-1.

At the weekend we face the long trip to St Neots Town in the FA Trophy. While in the league Droylsden are at home to Burscough and Salford play Harrogate RA.
