Darlington picked up four points this week to close the gap on league leaders Blyth Spartans. On Saturday the side won 1-0 away to Sutton Coldfield thanks to a first half goal from Adam Mitchell. The Quakers were then held to a 1-1 draw at home by Ashton United on Tuesday night, despite a late goal from Tom Portas.

Blyth remain top of the table, on Saturday they won 1-0 away to Rushall Olympic. Robbie Dale scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in the first half. However, they fell to a surprise 3-2 defeat at home to Frickley Athletic in mid-week. Despite two penalties from Robbie Dale, a double from Bradley Grayson and a goal from Jacob Hazel earned the points for Frickley.

Workington remain in the hunt for automatic promotion after a 2-0 win at home to Stamford. Matthew Tymon opened the scoring in the 31st minute, with Joseph McGee securing the three points after the break.

Salford City’s recent struggles continued, as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Ilkeston. Matthew Baker and Curtis Burrows put Ilkeston in control, with Danny Webber scoring the consolation for the Ammies. Salford were able to bounce back on Tuesday night away at Marine, Chris Lynch and Luke Clark scored the goals either side of half-time in a 2-0 win.

Barwell kept up their good form, as they chase a playoff place, with a comfortable win at Colwyn Bay. Jamie Towers and Brady Hickey both scored twice, as Barwell won the game 4-0.

Stourbridge moved into the top five after two wins this week. Kristian Green gave Stourbridge the lead against Mickleover Sports only for Nicolantonio Degirolamo to level shortly after for the visitors. However, Karl Hawley scored the penalty spot to win the game for Stourbridge 2-1.

Stourbridge then came from behind to win 3-2 at Sutton Coldfield Town. Aaron Forde gave Sutton the lead, before a Karl Hawley double and a goal from Chris Lait put Stourbridge in control. Ryan Edmunds pulled one back for Sutton, but Stourbridge were able to hold on for the win.

Nantwich Town are seventh after being held at Matlock Town. Joel Purkiss gave Matlock the lead, before Matthew Kosylo earned Nantwich a 1-1 draw.

At the other end of the table Marine remain in the relegation places after drawing 0-0 away to Matlock Town.

Whitby Town fell to a 1-0 defeat at Grantham Town. Daniel Meadows scored the only goal of the game for Grantham from the penalty spot.

Whitby were defeated again against Hyde United on Monday night. David McTiernan had given Whitby the lead, but a double from Ayrton Bevins saw Hyde come out 2-1 winners.

Frickley Athletic remain in the top half of the table with a 3-0 win over Skelmersdale United, Luke Hinsley, Bradley Grayson and Jacob Hazel scoring the goals for Frickley.

Ramsbottom United’s hopes of survival continue to shrink after their latest defeat at home to Skelmersdale United. Chris Almond scored a hat-trick for Skelmersdale, as they ran out 3-0 winners.

Stamford helped their survival chances on Monday against Ilkeston. Lee Beeson, Gregory Smith and Paul Malone scored in the first half to give Stamford a 3-0 victory.

Halesowen Town and Buxton held each other to a 1-1 draw on Saturday. Ricky Ravenhill scored an own goal to put Halesowen in front, with an Ashley Burton penalty levelling for Buxton.
