FA Trophy final replay -- some thanks

The first full re-play since 2011

We’d like to welcome you to the re-play of our magnificent 2011 FA Trophy victory over Mansfield at Wembley. Join us from 2.45 onwards for the build up and the match kicking off at 3pm.

This afternoon’s re-play is believed to be the first time since that day that all of us have been able to watch the full 120 (+1) minutes of that memorable day, so sit back, enjoy, and deep into extra time at 0-0 like every Darlo fan that day, start dreading penalties again!

Chris Senior, of course, squashed those fears with that dramatic headed winner.

A huge amount of effort has gone into this re-play. We’d like to thank the FA, particularly Mani Gill, for allowing us to use the footage, and BBC Tees for their commentary. Kevin Luff has kindly synched video and audio together.

When you’re watching the game, one thing to bear in mind. The BBC Tees commentary position is on the opposite side of the field to the television cameras, so obviously “left” on the audio commentary is “right” on the TV footage.

The presenter of the BBC Tees coverage is Paul Addison, RS and Kevan Smith are the commentary team, and James Mountford is on the touchline.

Please enjoy one of the greatest days in the club’s history. If you want to share your memories, write to media@darlingtonfc.org, and we’ll print them on the website.

The photos that we've used on the website are from the Northern Echo and Les Hodge.
