David Ferguson says that he’s leaving Quakers with some great memories.
Fergie finished his second spell with Quakers on Friday and moved to Bootham Crescent for an undisclosed fee, and he said: “I will always have fond memories of my time at Darlington.
“The fans were superb, and there were some great matches. I think my best memory will be scoring the first goal against Salford at the start of the season, to do that in front of the Darlington fans was really something special. I enjoyed my long range goal as well last season.
“I’d like to think I’ve worked my socks off during my time, and did well.
“No disrespect to Darlington, but this is a great opportunity for me now, it’s the right move at the right time. It’s another step to where I want to be, and that’s to be back in the Football League where I was just 18 months ago. I'd like to wish Darlo all the best."
