Generous Moors hand over £340 to help Paddy

Donation for injured player

Everyone at Darlington FC was grateful for a very generous donation by Spennymoor for the benefit of Paddy Almond on Saturday.

Moors manager Jason Ainsley and midfielder Mark Anderson presented £340 to Darlington chief operating officer David Johnston before kick off on Saturday.

"What a fantastic gesture by Spennymoor," said DJ. "It just goes to show how much of a profound effect Paddy's injury has had on everybody in the game. It was very kind of them to hold a collection amongst their players and officials. We will forward the money on to Paddy at the earliest opportunity."

A recent GoFundMe initiative recently raised over £13,000 for Paddy, who is due to have an operation soon in the Royal London Hospital.
