Get a free ticket for the Boston game thanks to the National Lottery

Bring a new supporter for free

Darlington FC are delighted to be a part of The National Lottery Football Weekends for the home game against Boston on 26th March.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, National Lottery players provided emergency financial support for local clubs in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland helping them survive when they were unable to play and let supporters into their grounds. To thank National Lottery players over 100,000 tickets are available on a buy one, get one free basis to Clubs in various divisions through the pyramid. If you have bought a National Lottery ticket you can take advantage of this offer.

What’s in it for me?

Provided you’re over the age of 18 and a National Lottery player you can grab a free ticket for the Darlington v Boston game at Blackwell Meadows on the 26th March. Interested? Then read on…

To participate you’ll need to purchase an online match ticket in advance of the game which will then allow you to claim your free ticket. You can then either pass this freebie onto a lapsed supporter, friend, family member or someone who hasn't been to a Darlington game before, or even go halves with them and bump up the Blackwell Meadows crowd for what promises to be an entertaining game.

Season ticket holders aren’t left out either – as you’ve already purchased your ticket there’s no need for you to purchase an online ticket to qualify. Simply follow the instructions below to redeem your free ticket and get thinking who you’d like to take with you to enjoy the experience.

What’s in it for the Club?

The National Lottery will compensate each Club with £5 per free ticket redeemed, so not only do you get a free ticket but the Club also benefit financially to boot, that’s what we call a win win!

How does the offer work?

To participate in The National Lottery Football Weekend and claim your free ticket you must have recently purchased a qualifying National Lottery product – if you haven’t it’s not too late, either go online at https://www.national-lottery.co.uk or stop by your local National Lottery retailer and purchase in-store.

To purchase an online match ticket and qualify for the free ticket offer simply visit: https://yourclub.darlingtonfc.co.uk/match-tickets and select the Darlington v Boston United event.

There are no limits to the amount of match tickets you can purchase per person but there is a limit on the number of free tickets you can claim. Each person can claim up to 2 free tickets on the basis of one free ticket per paid ticket.

So, you’ve bought your online match ticket, now how do you claim that free ticket? Upon purchasing your paid match ticket you will have received a barcoded e-ticket, one barcode per ticket. You need to make a note of the five-character “Ticket Code” as you’ll need this to redeem your free ticket.

Season ticket holders need to follow a slightly different process to obtain their “Ticket Code”. To do this you’ll need to log into your YOURCLUB account at: https://yourclub.darlingtonfc.co.uk and once logged in, navigate to “Your Account” where you’ll find your five-character voucher code waiting for you. Season ticket holders are eligible to claim one free ticket.

Once you have your voucher code visit: https://yourclub.darlingtonfc.co.uk/match-tickets and select the Darlington v Boston United (TNL Offer) event. Here you will be able to claim the free ticket. Upon checkout there are a few mandatory details that we need you to enter, the two key pieces of information being the 5 character “Ticket Code” from your paid ticket (or voucher code if you’re a Season Ticket holder) and the reference number from your National Lottery ticket. Once checked-out you’ll receive your free barcoded e-ticket both on screen and via the email address supplied during check-out.

Free tickets can be redeemed from 5pm Sunday 13th March up until 12pm on the day of the game – Saturday 26th March.
