The Under 8 s played Seaham Coast in their latest match

The team started with replacement goalkeeper Ewan Irvine, who again impressed with the absence of the teams forts choice keeper. Lewis Coleman filled in at the back continuing his excellent form this season. An attacking trio of Charlie Cole, Harry Lambert and Logan Williams, made up the Quakers attack.

The game started in usual fashion with the majority of possession coming from Darlington, who took an early lead through an unfortunate own goal.

Harry Lambert and Logan Williams again showed that their partnership won't be stopped, with both players getting an assist which lead to the other scoring.

Seaham came more into the game towards half time, and caused the Darlington defence a few problems.

Going into the second half it proved to be a Cole, Coleman, Lambert and Williams master class, which was a pleasure to watch. Every pass was successfully made, every ball was closed down and every blade of grass covered.

Despite a very good performance from the Seaham goalkeeper, Charlie Cole was able to get another on the day, along with a very hard working Harry Lambert.

Ewan Irvine had a great game in goal, and could do nothing about Seaham’s goals.

Man of the match was split this week between Harry Lambert and Logan Williams. Both players showed the great amount of quality they possess, and the partnership they have is equally impressive.
