Darlington Under 18s had a great 5-1 win on Saturday over Lambton Street, one of their main title rivals in the Durham County Under 18 league.
Quakers were a goal down until just before half time, but then took control in the second half.
Jordan Lee equalised with a deflected shot just before the half time whistle, then Lewis rees put Quakers in front with a header.
Max Landau was brought down in the box, and Nathan Stephenson converted the penalty. Lewis Walton made it 4-1 when he dribbled through and fired into the top corner, and Joseph Smith scored the fifth when he went on a great solo run and slotted the ball under the keeper.
Manager Andrew Jinks said; “After half time we were the stronger team and bullied the opposition. Max Landau produced a man of the match performance for us.”
Quakers are now top of the league, and next week are away to another of their main rivals, New Hartley.
