Darlington striker Harvey Saunders said that he was delighted to play a full game at Kidderminster on Saturday.
The youngster was voted the man of the match by the supporters bus because of his assist in the first goal and his general all out effort, and he said; “It was great to play the full 90 minutes at Kidderminster, and to play a part in the fightback.
“It’s great to know that the manager has got belief in me, and that gives me extra confidence that I can do what he wants.
“I thought it was a really good game, and great to be part of a fightback that got us a point. And I was pleased with my part in the first goal.
“It was an incredible fightback after going 3-1 down and nearly 4-1.”
Harvey admitted that he panicked in stoppage time when he raced back quickly to defend a Kidderminster counter attack and won the ball in a tackle but the ref pulled him up for a foul. “Dom shouted at me to get back, so I sprinted back to cover, and the ref said that I fouled their lad when I challenged him. I panicked, thinking that he was going to show me a second yellow card, so I told him that I’d played the ball. He said that I did, and just gave them a free kick.
“Phil kicked the ball away and showed him a yellow card instead!”
