Darlington striker Harvey Saunders has been on trial this week at Championship side Barnsley.

Harvey, 20, went to Oakwell at the start of this week, and has spent the week training, with a match to finish the week off today.

Darlington manager Tommy Wright, who played 34 times for Barnsley before he came to Quakers as a player, said; “From what I’ve been told, Harvey has impressed Barnsley this week with his attitude and approach to the game. It won’t do him any harm being down there – it’s a great opportunity for him to show what he’s about.

“Harvey is another Darlington player who has got bags of potential.”

Harvey will be back in our squad for the away game at Telford on Saturday.
