I Thought We Created Enough Opportunities

Reaction to pre-season game with Harrogate Town

Quakers gave a good account of themselves when they were beaten 2-0 by Harrogate Town in their latest pre season friendly at Blackwell Meadows.

The Football League club brought more than enough players for two teams, their second half team being even stronger than the first, but nevertheless, Quakers did well against them both.

In the first half, Mitch Curry and Jarrett Rivers both had good chances from close range, as did Andrew Nelson and Ben Hedley in the second. Lucas Martin was in goal in the first half in place of the unavailable Tommy Taylor, and he would have been pleased with a clean sheet.

Jacob Hazel made his first friendly appearance in the second half after returning from international duty with St Kitts and Nevis.

There were also outings for keeper Harvey Kelly and midfielder Romario Vieria.

You can hear what Alun said below.
