Following on from yesterday's request on the official website about staying away from Blackwell Meadows while construction work is in progress, here is a statement from project manager Malcolm Cundick.

"Just to reinforce ongoing concerns regarding fans visiting the site. All should be aware that for the course of the contract works the site compounds and all construction areas belong to the respective Main Contractors. Anyone venturing into these areas is then deemed to be trespassing with attendant safety risks. Even if permission is sought you will be expected to wear appropriate site safety gear including high viz jacket, helmet and safety boots. Such access will however be restricted to those on formal contract-related business or by specific invitation. A safe protected route to the front of the Clubhouse is clearly identified and is for this purpose only.

"Over the following weeks there will be increased site activity with construction of the new Car Park. This will involve frequent use of the access drive by lorries and other heavy plant carrying the site and delivering car park construction materials including stone and road planings. This will impact on access down the drive from Grange Road in particular.

"Nick Burton, the official DFC club photographer, will meanwhile continue to publish site progress photographs which will be reinforced by a descriptive commentary from myself, trusting that this will satisfy your curiosity.

"In the meantime please refrain from visiting Blackwell Meadows for anything other than a Clubhouse event.

"We look forward to experiencing the new Stadium as soon as it is complete."
