Jonny Ngandu signs for Quakers

Midfielder joins after leaving Stratford

Darlington have today signed midfielder Jonny Ngandu after he left Stratford Town.

Jonny, who is 21,started his career at Coventry City when he was just 7, and stayed there until he was 20. He signed his first contract in October 2018 and made his debut for the club against Cheltenham in the EFL Trophy soon after.

He went on loan to Icelandic side Keflavik in September 2020, making four appearances, before he was released by Coventry in the summer of 2022. He joined Hamilton Academicals, playing nine games for them, and near the end of the season had a loan spell at Stranraer.

After the end of his loan spell, he was released and joined Stratford Town in the Southern League Premier Division Central. We have now reached agreement with Stratford for Jonny's signing. Jonny has signed a contract for the rest of the season.

Here's what Josh says about Jonny:

We would like to wish Jonny every success with us over the rest of the season.

We would like to thank Stratford for their assistance in the signing.
