Long serving Darlo fan passes away
The club is very sad to learn about the passing of long-serving fan Keith Nelson.
Keith, who was 83, had been a devoted season ticket holder since 1972 and followed the team up and down the country with his wife Mercia and his sons.
His son, Pete, said; “My parents travelled the length and breadth of the country following their beloved Darlo, often making a weekend of it when travelling to far flung places such as Bristol, Forest Green, Swindon, Welling, Brighton, Wembley etc.
“We’re so sad that Dad won’t be with us any more, but we plan to buy his season ticket seat next season to keep his spirit alive at the games.”
Everybody at Darlington FC sends their sincere condolences to his family and friends at this very sad time.
