Let’s go for the top four!

On Wednesday night we look to make it three wins in a row at home to Bradford Park Avenue.

A very good performance saw us defeat Brackley Town 1-0 on Saturday thanks to a Stephen Thompson strike in the second half, and stretch our unbeaten run to four league matches. We have lost just twice in our last ten league matches.

It was the first time since October that we have won back-to-back matches and allowed us to take advantage of none of the other sides in the top seven winning.

At the weekend Bradford Park Avenue picked up a huge victory to move away from the relegation places at fellow struggles Telford. Wayne Brooksby scored a hat-trick for Park Avenue as they picked up a 3-1 victory.

Although not involved on Saturday, former Quaker Adam Nowakowski now is part of the Bradford squad after joining from ourselves earlier this season. Nowakowski, who can play in numerous positions, was highly rated by many of our fans, but struggled to nail a permanent place in our team down since he signed for us in the summer of 2015.

Bradford PA were unable to win any of their first 15 league games this season, but Mark Bower, who had a spell as a player with Quakers in the 2009-10 relegation season, came in as manager in September and has helped turn the side’s fortunes around. He won the league’s manager of the month award for February.

This is their fifth season in the National North, last year they finished 14th in the league table.

We have played them 45 times over the years, the last time in Darlington was back in 1970 in the old Division Four. We beat Bradford away earlier in the season with two goals in the last ten minutes.

Kick off on Wednesday night is 7.45pm, updates on the game will be made from the club's Facebook, Twitter, Mobile App and Website. Live Commentary will be broadcast from Darlo Fans Radio at 7.30pm
