Darlington Football Club would like to announce the signing of forward Lewis Walker from Derby County.
Lewis, 18, is the son of former England and Nottingham Forest legend Des Walker, and was previously at Ilkeston in the EvoStik Premier Division.
He played a big part in Ilkeston’s FA Youth Cup run last season, scoring six goals in five matches, and he also played six games for the first team in the EvoStik League. He was a regular in Derby’s Under 18s after he signed a two and a half year contract with the Rams and this season has stepped up to the Under 23s.
