Darlington Football Club would like to announce the signing of defender Liam Marrs from Boston United.
Cramlington born Liam, who is 23, started his career at Sunderland, and was an unused sub on four occasions when Paolo Di Canio was manager. He had a two month loan spell at Boston in the autumn of 2013, and he joined them on a permanent basis in the National League North in August 2014.
He was a regular at right back for the Pilgrims over the last two seasons, and has now signed a two year deal with the Quakers.
Darlington manager Martin Gray said; “Liam is very experienced at this level. He’s had a very good upbringing at Sunderland, and he has been recommended to us by several people. He knows the league, and he will be a big asset to us.”
