An international and a former national apprentice of the year are included in the Newcastle United squad for the friendly against Quakers on Saturday at the Northern Echo Arena.
Newcastle legend Peter Beardsley will choose from a squad of players who have appeared in the Europa League, promising youngsters and new signings.
23 year old Gael Bigirimana is from Burundi, and was the Championship Apprentice of the year in his Coventry days. He has started 13 games for the Magpies, and spent some of last season on loan at his previous club. He is an England Under 20 international and has played for United in the Europa League.
