Martina Cuccunato rejoins Darlington Spraire Ladies

Keeper moves clubs

Darlington FC Women would like to announce that Martina Cuccunato has today joined Darlington Spraire Ladies FC.

Martina was the first goalkeeper to put on the gloves for Darlington FC Women since its formation in 2021 and made 22 competitive appearances for the club.

Manager Shaun Mackenzie said: "I am sad to see Martina leave and wish her the best of luck for the rest of the season. Martina was magnificent for us last season and was a big part of our successful first season and our 14 game unbeaten run when we first formed. Martina is a big personality in the team and the squad will miss her energy and passion for football.

"We are lucky to have three fantastic goalkeepers at the club and I understand why Martina has made the decision to move on and rejoin her former club and we respect that decision."

Darlington FC would like to wish Martina all the best with Darlington Spraire Ladies and we would like to thank Spraire for their professionalism with the transfer.
