As part of our 80s celebrations, we're looking back at the match reports of big Darlington matches, courtesy of Simon Weatherill.
Today, it's the big FA Cup third round replay win over Middlesbrough in January 1985 -- the Northern Echo headline is "Old boys send sad Boro packing". The clubs would play each other in the old Third Division the following season.
