Darlington manager Martin Gray has appealed for the fans to turn out in force by bringing a friend to cheer the team on to the title at home to Grantham tonight.
Quakers are playing their second game of the week tonight after beating Stamford on Sunday, a result that put them back on top of the table by two points from Blyth with a game in hand.
Quakers could win the league tonight at Heritage Park if they beat Grantham and Blyth lose or draw at home to Rushall Olympic.
MG said; “We need a big crowd tonight to help us win the game. The atmosphere generated over the last few weeks has been fantastic, especially in the last two games. The players have all remarked how positive the atmosphere is, and how it drives them on. Our fans have been superb all season, even more so recently.
“There’s nothing better from a player’s point of view to see and hear so many people supporting them. It really does encourage them.
“So I would say to all the fans, please come along tonight, bring a friend, and enjoy the evening.”
