Darlington manager Martin Gray will use a big squad of players in Quakers’ latest friendly at Newton Aycliffe on Wednesday night.
MG used 20 players for the match at Shildon last Saturday, and the indications are that he will give some players an hour of action and others half an hour.
He included several triallists in the squad at Shildon, and he said; “I’ll be looking at players again tonight. I want to see them in action again.
“I also want to see some progress from last Saturday. Pre season is partly about improving fitness, and players getting familiar with each other.”
The match, at Moore Lane, is scheduled to start at 7.30, and fans are advised to arrive early, as there is a fair taking place nearby, and parking is very restricted near the ground.
Admission is £5 for adults and £3 concessions.
After Wednesday night, Quakers’ next friendly is against Newcastle United on Monday at the Northern Echo Arena, kick off 7.00pm. Admission is £10 adults, £5 for concessions. The game is being sponsored by Virgin Trains East Coast.
