Michael Oliver , who played for us between 1996 and 2000, will be our guest in hospitality before the home game against Gloucester on 20th November.
Midfielder Michael was signed by manager Jim Platt in the close season after we'd played at Wembley in 1996. He started his career at Middlesbrough before moving on to Stockport County in 1994.
He played there for two seasons before he joined us in the summer of 1996.
He made over 100 appearances for us in four seasons. One of his most notable early appearances for us was when we shocked Leeds United by drawing 2-2 with them in the Coca Cola Cup at Elland Road.
He was also part of the squad that reached the play off final in 2000, only to lose to Peterborough at Wembley. He played in both legs of the play off semi final against Hartlepool, when we won 2-0 at Hartlepool and 1-0 at home.
He left us in the summer of 2000 for Rochdale.
