My main highlight has to be coming off the bench and scoring the winner against Spennymoor in the play off semi final.
I played Army (Graeme Armstrong) down the side, but by mistake I sent him more towards the corner. He did well to move inside more and hold off the defender, and when he got to the goal line, he looked up and saw me coming and played the ball back perfectly into my path.
The Spennymoor keeper didn’t look too comfortable at the near post, and I just hit the ball into the corner, and he couldn’t get down quick enough.
The ground just erupted when the ball went into the net. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a better feeling in football knowing that I’d scored the winner in a play off semi final.

My second highlight was going on to win promotion a few days later. It was an unbelievable feeling to win our second promotion in three seasons. The celebrations when we won the play off final were just as good as they were when we won the Northern League. There were scenes at the end of the game again, that brought back great memories of two years ago.
