We picked up our first away league win on Saturday at Alfreton thanks to goals from Tyrone O’Neill and Justin Donawa. Victory saw us move up to 15th in the table.
York won a huge game at the top of the table to go three points clear. They beat King’s Lynn Town 3-0 who dropped to third. Andy Bond put York ahead with two of our former players, David Ferguson and Joe Tait sealing the win.
Chester moved up to second despite being held to a 3-3 draw at home to Leamington. Josh March put Leamington ahead after just 15 minutes, but James Jones levelled just three minutes later for the hosts. George Glendon put Chester ahead in the first minute of the second half, but Jack Edwards and Kaiman Anderson turned the tables around once again to put the Brakes 3-2 in front. However, in the final minute of normal time Matthew Water earned Chester a draw.
Farsley continued their fantastic start to the season with a dramatic late win at home to Curzon Ashton. Curzon took the lead in the 69th minute through Dan Tickett-Smith, however two goals in the final minutes of the game from Akeel Francis and William Hayhurst gave Celtic a 2-1 victory.
Brackley are now four unbeaten in the league as they moved up to fifth with a 8-0 thumping of Bradford PA. Lee Ndlovu scored twice for Brackley with Glen Walker, Matt Lowe, James Armson, Shane Byrne , Thierry Audel and Dan Holman also scoring.
Guiseley dropped to sixth following a 3-1 defeat at Gloucester. Gabriel Johnson had given Guiseley the lead before Marlon Jackson levelled for the hosts. Guiseley were then reduced to ten men before the break, with second half goals from Luke Russe and Jackson giving Gloucester the victory.
Blyth picked up their first league win on Saturday 3-1 at home to Telford. Callum Roberts double put Spartans in control before Darryl Knights pulled one back for visitors. However, Roberts grabbed his hat-trick to seal the vital victory for Blyth.
Our next league opponents Boston are just outside the playoff places thanks to a 2-0 win at home to Southport. Brad Abbott put the Pilgrims ahead in the first half with Jordan Thewlis making it two mid way through the second half.
Hereford are ninth following a 1-0 win at home to Kettering, Jordan Nicholson with the winner.
In the final game on Saturday Spennymoor came from behind to beat Kidderminster. Ashley Chambers put Harriers ahead, before Rob Ramshaw and Glen Taylor won the game for Moors.
