National North Round-up 02/03/2020
The latest from around the league
Only four games survived the weather in the National North, but they all featured a team in the promotion shake up.
We moved up to tenth after our 1-1 draw with Brackley. The result leaves us seven points off the final playoff spot with 11 games to play, Brackley are now in sixth place.
York City were held to a 1-1 draw by Curzon Ashton, but it could yet prove to be a cruical point. Geoge Broadbent appeared to have won the game for the Nash with 18 minutes to go before Jordan Burrow earned a point for the hosts in the second minute of stoppage time. York are now three points clear at the top, but second place King's Lynn Town have four games in hand.
Altrincham are up to fifth after a 2-0 win away at Hereford. Elliot Durrell and Simon Richman scored the goals for Alty at the end of both halves.
Spennymoor occupy the final playoff spot after a dramatic 3-3 draw with Telford. Ellis Denney put the visitors ahead, before Glen Taylor levelled for Spennymoor. Marcus Dinanga put Telford back ahead before James Curtis was sent off for the Moors. Telford took full advantage with Brendon Daniels making it 3-1 from the resulting free kick. However, Spennymoor produced the unlikely comeback through James Roberts and in the 95th minute Tyler Hornby-Forbes to earn a cruical point.
