We picked up a fantastic win on Saturday at home to Blyth in what was one of our best performances of the season. A Stephen Thompson penalty and second half goals from Reece Styce and David Syers gave us the 3-0 win. The win moved us up to 15th, three points clear of the relegation zone.

Nuneaton Town also picked up a huge victory in the fight for survival, as they beat FC United of Manchester. Ashley Chambers scored the only goal of the game after 29 minutes for Nuneaton to give them the 1-0 victory. They moved up to 16th with victory behind ourselves only on goal difference, while FC United are six points off the bottom three.

Leamington picked up a point to help their battle against relegation, but will be disappointed it wasn’t three away to bottom of the table North Ferriby. The hosts took the lead after just two minutes through Brett Agnew, before Daniel Udoh levelled for the Brakes just 11 minutes later. However, neither side could find the winner as the game ended 1-1. For North Ferriby, their second draw in a row means they are 18 points adrift at the foot of the table, while Leamington are one point below ourselves.

York could have moved up to fourth with victory at mid-table Tamworth, but suffered last minute heartache. Aidan Connolly looked to have won the game for The Minstermen with 17 minutes left, but Darryl Knights earned a 1-1 draw for Tamworth in the final minute.

Several sides in the National North were in action in the FA Trophy and all of their hopes of earning a trip to Wembley are still alive.

Brackley were the only side to book their place in the quarter finals, with a 3-1 victory over Sutton. While Harrogate, Stockport and Spennymoor all were held to draws by Billericay, Maidenhead and East Thurrock respectively.
