We suffered another set back on Saturday, as we lost 2-1 at home to York in front of the biggest crowd at Blackwell Meadows this season. Despite taking the lead just before half time through Reece Styche we fell to a defeat that left us outside the bottom three on goal difference.

Salford City’s recent struggles continued, as their lead at the top of the table that had at one stage been ten points was cut to two. At Stockport on Saturday they had to come from behind after County top scorer Jason Oswell struck. Jack Redshaw levelled for the Ammies but they looked to be heading for defeat when Bohan Dixon put the hosts back in front with eight minutes to go. However, Salford rescued a 2-2 draw thanks to Michael Nottingham’s stoppage time strike.

Harrogate pilled the pressure on the leaders, as they won away at playoff chasing Chorley. Jordan Thewlis scored the only goal of the game for Harrogate in the final ten minutes.

Brackley are only two points further behind the leaders after winning at second bottom Nuneaton Town. Glenn Walker scored after eight minutes to give Brackley the lead, with James Armson sealing a 2-0 win.

Spennymoor continued their good form with an impressive win at playoff rival Bradford Park Avenue. David Foley and Christopher Mason put the Brewers in control. Nicholas Clee pulled one back for Park Avenue, but they fell to a 2-1 defeat. The result leaves Spennymoor fourth, with Bradford dropping to seventh.

Blyth Spartans beat Gainsborough Trinity 4-0 to move up to fifth. Greg Rutherford and Sean Reid both scored doubles for Spartans.

Kidderminster Harriers moved up a place to sixth despite being held at Leamington. Andre Brown gave Harriers a first half lead, but Ahmed Obeng earned a 1-1 draw for Leamington shortly after half time.

Alfreton moved out of the bottom three after a comfortable win at bottom of the table North Ferriby United. David Shield, Christopher Sharp and Pierce Bird all scored goals in the first half for Alfreton, as they won 3-0.

Boston continued their up-turn in fortunes, to move further away from any danger with a 3-1 win at home to Tamworth. Reece Thompson opened the scoring with a double from Ashley Hemmings sealing the win. Bradley Reid scored a consolation for Tamworth with quarter of an hour to go.

FC United of Manchester continued their impressive form with a 1-0 win on Sunday at home to struggling Southport. Player/manager Tom Greaves scored the only goal of the game for FC United in the 12^th minute.
