Our third straight home victory on Saturday, an impressive 3-0 win over Kidderminster, moved us up to 13^th place in the league table. We are now nine points ahead of the bottom three and eight off the final play off place.

Stockport County closed the gap on the top two as neither were able to win at the weekend. County in third beat second placed Bradford PA 3-0 to leave themselves just four points off top spot. Matthew Warburton opened the scoring early on, with Darren Stephenson and Euan Mulhern sealing the victory late on.

Meanwhile leaders Chorley could not take advantage of Bradford’s defeat as they conceded a stoppage time goal at Hereford. Joshua O’Keefe put Chorley ahead early in the second half, but Joshua Gowling earned a 1-1 draw for Hereford in stoppage time.

Telford United also picked up an important victory over a promotion rival as they beat Spennymoor 2-1. Brendon Daniels put Telford ahead before the leagues top scorer Glen Taylor made it 1-1 on 56 minutes. However, just eight minutes later Darryl Knights won the game for Telford which leaves them fifth and the Brewers seventh.

Chester kept the pressure on those above them with a 2-0 win at third bottom FC United of Manchester. Anthony Dudley and Gary Roberts scored the goals in either half for Chester.

Altrincham are sixth after a 2-1 win at Boston United. Joshua Hancock and Jordan Hulme both scored in the first half for Alty. Benjamin Davies scored a consolation for Boston, but it was not enough.

Blyth Spartans are outside the top seven on goal difference after their 1-1 draw at home to Alfreton. Thomas Allan gave Alfreton the lead, before Robbie Dale levelled for Blyth with his 200^th goal for the club.

Bottom of the table Nuneaton suffered late heartache at Southport. They had appeared to be heading for victory after Yusifu Ceesay gave them the lead in the second half. However, Jordan Mcfarlane-Archer scored in injury time for Southport to grab a 1-1 draw.

Second bottom Ashton United fell to a 3-1 defeat at Brackley. Shaun Jeffers, Gareth Dean and Matthew Lowe gave Brackley the victory with James Jones scoring a late consolation for Ashton.

York City fell to a 1-0 defeat at Curzon Ashton. Ryan Shenton scored the only goal of the game for Curzon after an hour to move them seven points clear of the relegation zone.  Defeat leaves York in 15^th place in the table and the game was manager Sam Collins’ last in charge of the club.

The final game at the weekend saw Guiseley and Leamington play out a 1-1 draw. Olukayode Odejayi gave Guiseley the lead, with Jordan Murphy equalising for Leamington right on half time.
