While we were in FA Trophy action five games took place in the National North which saw us fall to 11th place in the league. Second place York City closed the gap on leaders King’s Lynn Town to a point with a 2-0 win at home to Telford United. Elliot Durrell and Jordan Burrow scored in the final ten minutes to give York a crucial win ahead of a clash between the top two next week.
Altrincham are sixth after a 1-1 draw at home to tenth place Guiseley. Tom Peers put Alty ahead after quarter of an hour before Felix Kaine earned the visitors a point.
Spennymoor are still in the final playoff spot despite a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Kettering. Glen Taylor put the Brewers ahead before Matt Taylor pulled the Poppies level. Kettering claimed their third win in five in stoppage time through Jason Law as they continue to move away from the relegation zone.
Blyth picked up a huge win against third bottom Curzon Ashton to move to within a point of their opponents. Connor Dimaio put Curzon ahead after an hour, but two goals from Spartans legend Robbie Dale gave them a 2-1 win.
Hereford were held to a draw at home to bottom of the table Bradford PA. Jason Pope put the Bulls ahead before Nicky Clee earned Bradford a point.
